Treatment Disclosure
1. Acknowledgment of Medical Procedures
All cosmetic injectables (including but not limited to Botulinum Toxin, Dermal Fillers, Bio-remodeling agents, and Fat Dissolving compounds) and advanced skin therapies offered at Aesthetica Clinic are medical procedures. As with any medical intervention, they carry inherent risks, limitations, and potential complications.
2. Mandatory Consultation and Suitability
A comprehensive consultation with our Registered Cosmetic Nurse is a mandatory prerequisite for all new patients and for existing patients seeking new treatments. Booking an appointment does not guarantee that a treatment will be performed. We retain the right to refuse treatment if you are deemed medically unsuitable, if your expectations are unrealistic, or if we believe the treatment is not in your best physical or psychological interest.
3. Risks and Potential Complications
While severe complications are rare, you must be aware of potential risks before consenting to treatment. General risks include: pain, swelling, bruising, bleeding, redness, and tenderness at the injection site. Specific risks include, but are not limited to: infection, asymmetry, lumps or nodules, allergic reactions, ptosis (muscle drooping), and in extremely rare cases involving dermal fillers, vascular occlusion (blockage of a blood vessel leading to tissue necrosis or vision impairment).
4. Variability of Results
Human anatomy is asymmetrical and highly individual. Your metabolism, muscle strength, skin quality, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare instructions will heavily influence your results. We do not guarantee perfect symmetry or identical outcomes to other patients or photographs. Aesthetic medicine is an art and a science; results are subjective, and multiple sessions are often required to achieve desired goals.
5. Off-Label Prescribing
In aesthetic medicine, it is common and internationally accepted practice to use approved medications for "off-label" purposes (e.g., using a product approved for the cheeks in the jawline, or using Botulinum Toxin for facial slimming). If your bespoke treatment plan involves off-label use, your practitioner will explain this to you prior to obtaining your consent.
6. Client Responsibilities and Honesty
Your safety depends on the information you provide. You agree to fully and truthfully disclose your entire medical history, including all current medications, supplements, allergies, past aesthetic complications, and existing medical conditions. Failure to do so drastically increases your risk of adverse events.
7. Strict Contraindications
Aesthetica Clinic operates under strict medical safety protocols. We will categorically not perform any injectable treatments on clients who are currently pregnant, attempting to become pregnant, or actively breastfeeding. We also cannot treat clients with active skin infections in the treatment area or certain neuromuscular disorders.
8. Clinical Photography
Standardized clinical photographs are a mandatory part of your medical record to track progress and plan treatments. These internal records are kept strictly confidential. Your images will never be used for marketing or social media purposes without your separate, explicit, and written consent.
