Microneedling

Trigger your skin’s natural repair process. Microneedling uses a specialised device to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen production for a smoother, firmer, more even complexion.

Microneedling

A skin treatment, not an injectable

Nothing is injected during microneedling. A specialised device creates thousands of tiny controlled channels across the skin, and your body responds by producing new collagen and elastin as it repairs them. That rebuilding is what improves texture, softens scarring, and tightens the walls of enlarged pores, and it’s why the treatment works on structure rather than surface.

Because it relies on your own healing response, results build over the weeks following each session rather than appearing immediately. Most people need a course of three or more, spaced several weeks apart. Redness usually settles within a day or two. Active breakouts need to be under control before we start, since treating through inflamed skin risks spreading it.

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)

Microneedling is a powerful medical-grade treatment for skin texturising. We use an advanced electronic device to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the dermis. This "controlled injury" triggers a cascade of healing growth factors, forcing the skin to produce new collagen and elastin.

Why We Love It

It is one of the few treatments that physically remodels the structure of the skin.

  • Acne Scarring: It breaks down old, fibrous scar tissue and replaces it with smooth, healthy tissue.
  • Pore Refinement: New collagen tightens the pore walls, making them appear significantly smaller.
  • Anti-Ageing: It thickens the dermis, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Small, precise, powerful

Microneedling is a skin treatment, not an injectable - there’s no product being injected into the skin. Instead, we use a specialised device to create thousands of tiny, controlled channels across the skin’s surface. This gently signals your skin to begin its natural healing process - producing new collagen and elastin as it repairs, which improves texture, tone, and firmness over time.

It’s a versatile treatment, effective for fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, and overall skin quality - and because it works with your skin’s own repair response, results continue to build in the weeks following treatment. It also creates tiny channels that allow hydrating and regenerative treatments to absorb more deeply, which is why we often combine it with other therapies for enhanced results. Most clients see the best outcome from a course of sessions, spaced several weeks apart.

The Procedure

A topical numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort. Downtime is minimal, with redness typically subsiding within 24-48 hours, revealing smoother, firmer skin.

FAQs

Answers to common questions about our injectable treatments and aesthetic services

How many microneedling sessions do I need for acne scars?

Scar revision takes time. We usually recommend a dedicated course of 3 to 6 sessions to achieve significant structural changes in the scar tissue.

How long does my face stay red after microneedling?

Your skin will look and feel like you have a moderate sunburn immediately after. This redness typically subsides significantly within 24 to 48 hours.

Can microneedling help with a dull, dehydrated complexion?

Yes, microneedling stimulates your body's natural healing response and can be paired with hydrating serums to improve overall skin quality and radiance.

Is microneedling safe for dark skin tones?

Yes! Unlike lasers, which target pigment and can carry risks for darker skin types, microneedling is a mechanical process and is safe and highly effective for all Fitzpatrick skin types.

Can I get microneedling if I have active acne?

We cannot microneedle directly over active, inflamed acne as it can spread bacteria. We will first clear the acne (often using specific peels or skincare) before treating the scars.

Can I wear makeup the day after microneedling?

We strongly recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours before applying makeup. Your skin's micro-channels are open, and applying makeup too soon can trap bacteria and cause breakouts or infection.
