The right treatment depends on the cause
Under-eye shadows have several possible causes and they don’t all respond to the same thing. Sometimes it’s a genuine hollow casting a shadow. Sometimes the skin is simply thin enough that the muscle and vessels beneath show through. Sometimes it’s pigment, and occasionally it’s puffiness being read as darkness. Filler only addresses one of those.
Where there’s true hollowing, a lightweight tear trough filler placed with a cannula lifts the skin flush with the cheek and removes the shadow. The tear trough is a highly advanced area. Our registered nurse prioritizes safety by using a blunt-tipped cannula to administer the filler, which drastically minimizes the risk of vascular complications.
Both are excellent skin boosters for the eyes. Rejuran (Polynucleotides) is highly regenerative, ideal for thickening thin skin and repairing damage. Sunekos is a blend of amino acids and HA, excellent for deep hydration and targeting dark circles.
The area looks delicate, but the treatment is surprisingly comfortable. The cannula glides smoothly under the skin, and the filler itself contains a numbing agent.
To prevent infection at the entry points, we ask that you wait at least 12 to 24 hours before applying concealer or any other makeup to the treated area.
Because the under-eye area has very little movement, filler here tends to last much longer than in lips or cheeks—often 12 to 18 months or even longer.
Yes, if you have had filler placed elsewhere that has drawn in water or looks puffy (the Tyndall effect), we can safely dissolve it using Hyalase.
